Nos dias 19 e 20 de novembro do corrente, no Instituto Terra, em Aimorés-MG, ocorreu a I Conferência Mineira de Gestores Ambientais, realizada pela AMGAM – Associação Mineira de Gestores Ambientais, organização não governamental recém-criada que tem por objetivo promover, congregar e representar profissionais de gestão ambiental de todo o Estado. Neste encontro as palestras apresentadas enfocaram o papel do gestor ambiental em suas várias frentes de atuação, demonstrando a todos os presentes a importância do gestor nas questões ambientais, sociais e políticas no cenário mineiro atual. Fomentado pelo grupo de formandos do 4º período de Tecnologia em Gestão Ambiental da UNIPAC Aimorés, a criação da AMGAM e a I conferência Mineira de Gestores Ambientais, contou com a participação de alunos de outras Instituições ensino superior como a UNA, de Belo Horizonte, a UNIPAC de Governador Valadares e o Instituto Federal do Norte de Minas, com sede em Araçuai, além de profissionais do setor, docentes e parceiros. Estes futuros profissionais foram incentivados pela historia de engajamento e luta da APGAM – Associação Paulista de Gestores Ambientais, também presente no evento, que os motivou a se mobilizarem na defesa e no reconhecimento de sua profissão. Apoiados por grandes empresas da região, este encontro reuniu 150 pessoas em um ambiente de troca de idéias e experiências, que fortaleceu ainda mais o desejo de continuar as ações de intercambio entre os diversos pólos de tecnologia em gestão ambiental espalhados por Minas Gerais, o que é o foco da diretoria da AMGAM, eleita em Assembléia em seu vigente mandato. Para o próximo ano já esta prevista a II Conferência Mineira de Gestores Ambientais, que será sediada pela UNA, em Belo Horizonte, em data a ser divulgada no site da AMGAM, www.amgam.org, onde pretende-se avançar mais ainda na participação e na mobilização de cada vez mais gestores para alcançar o fortalecimentos desta e a criação de várias outras organizações de mesma natureza em todo o país.

In Minas Gerais installs to the Mining Association of Environmental Managers - AMGAM
On 19th and November 20th of this month, the Earth Institute in Aimorés-MG, was the First Conference of Mining Environmental Managers, conducted by AMGAM - Mining Association of Environmental Managers, non-governmental organization recently created which aims to promote, gather and represent professional environmental management throughout the state. At this meeting the papers presented focused on the role of environmental manager in its various fronts, demonstrating to the audience the importance of managing the environmental, social and political scenario in mining today. Fostered by the group of trainees in the 4th period of Technology in Environmental Management UNIPAC Aimorés, the creation of AMGAM and I conference Mining Environmental Managers, with the participation of students from other institutions higher education as UNA, Belo Horizonte, the UNIPAC Governador Valadares and the Federal Institute of Northern Mines, based in Araçuaí, and industry professionals, teachers and partners.These professionals have been encouraged by the future history of engagement and struggle of APGAM - São Paulo Association of Environmental Managers also attend the event, which motivated them to mobilize in defense and recognition of their profession.Backed by large companies in the region, this meeting brought together 150 people in an environment of sharing ideas and experiences, which further strengthened the desire to continue the actions of exchange between the various centers of technology in environmental management spread across Minas Gerais, which is the focus of AMGAM board, elected by the Assembly in its current mandate. For the next year is already planned the Second Conference of Mining Environmental Managers, which will be hosted by UNA in Belo Horizonte, on a date to be announced on the website of AMGAM, www.amgam.org, where we intend to proceed further participation and mobilization of more and more managers to achieve the strengthening and creation of several other similar organizations across the country.
